{"id":486,"date":"2011-08-27T17:30:06","date_gmt":"2011-08-27T23:30:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/anthony.darrouzet-nardi.net\/scienceblog\/?p=486"},"modified":"2011-08-27T21:26:04","modified_gmt":"2011-08-28T03:26:04","slug":"nice-splom-wrapper-for-more-informative-scatterplot-matrices","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/scienceblog.darrouzet-nardi.net\/?p=486","title":{"rendered":"Nice splom() wrapper for more informative scatterplot matrices"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Thanks to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.r-bloggers.com\/graphically-analyzing-variable-interactions-in-r\/\">this post<\/a>, I just discovered a great wrapper for <tt>splom()<\/tt> called <tt>chart.Correlation<\/tt> (package: <tt>PerformanceAnalytics<\/tt>), which juices up scatterplot matrices with some nice loess curves,\u00a0<em>r<\/em><sup>2<\/sup> values, and density plots for each variable: pretty much the exact additions I want for every scatterplot matrix I make.<\/p>\n<p>The only thing I don&#8217;t like are the significance stars, but it was easy to delete those lines of code and run without them. Here&#8217;s an example without the stars for some data I&#8217;ve been looking at.
